Recreation-Focused, Therapeutic Home
At Lakeside, youth receive Trauma-Focused Treatment. There is also a high focus on recreational therapy. Youth learn daily living skills like job interviews, social skills, etc. They also receive highly structured academic programming as well as psychiatric and medication management.

Mike Norvang, Home Supervisor
Mike is a passionate leader with over eight years of experience working closely with youth, guiding them through some of life’s toughest roads with patience, empathy, and a strong dose of humor. In his role, he’s known for creating a safe, supportive environment where young people can grow, heal, and build the confidence to chase their own goals. Whether he’s helping someone through a tough moment or celebrating a small victory, Mike brings heart and consistency to every interaction. Off the clock, he shifts gears literally as a professional drag racer, proving that discipline, focus, and a love for speed aren’t just for the track. Driven by purpose and fueled by passion, Mike is committed to making a difference one life, and one-quarter mile, at a time.
About Lakeside RTC
Who We Serve
Lakeside Residential Treatment Center serves higher-risk males, ages 12-16, who have engaged in sexual misconduct with a broad range of sexual-offense behaviors. Residents of this facility are often sexually-preoccupied, with serious and significant sexual acting out issues and persistent or fixated patterns of offending.

Advanced-Level Programming
Youth admitted to Lakeside RTC have significant abusive-behavior patterns that require long-term treatment intervention. The length of stay is 12-18 months, with 6-12 months of follow-up aftercare services. Due to our experience and advanced level of programming, this facility is generally able to graduate a youth from the program in twelve months.
