Eagle Academy
Home-Centered, Therapeutic Environment
Eagle Academy was designed to help youth reduce stress, improve core beliefs, and learn healthy coping mechanisms.
With Saint Bernard therapy dogs, a basketball court in the backyard, and a large fishing pond, Eagle is the perfect home for healing.
Meet the Eagle Leadership Team
Rachel Mays, Home Supervisor
Rachel has been a dedicated and valued member of the YHA family since 2006. She is passionate about mentoring and supporting at-risk youth, helping guide them toward becoming responsible, confident young men. Rachel especially enjoys connecting with the youth through outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing, as well as games that encourage teamwork, trust, and personal growth.
In her work, Rachel uses the pendulum theory to thoughtfully balance nurturing care with clear expectations and accountability, always striving to bring out the best in each youth. She finds deep fulfillment when former clients return to share how her support made a positive difference in their lives. Rachel takes great pride in creating a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for both youth and staff, and she consistently leads by example.
