Chief Financial Officer

Matthew J. Layton serves as Chief Financial Officer for Youth Health Associates (YHA), where he oversees the organization’s financial strategy, long-term planning, compliance, and operational financial management as the company continues to expand its impact and services across multiple states.

With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, Matthew brings extensive expertise in financial leadership, strategic planning, audit, tax, consulting, and organizational growth. Throughout his career spanning from 1998 to 2025, he built a distinguished background advising organizations across a wide range of industries, including 15 years serving as a Partner, where he worked closely with executive teams to strengthen financial performance, improve operational efficiencies, and support long-term business growth.

Matthew holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting from University of Utah and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His depth of financial expertise and experience advising growing organizations provides YHA with strong leadership as the organization continues building scalable infrastructure and positioning itself for long-term regional and national expansion.

As Chief Financial Officer, Matthew works closely with executive leadership to oversee financial operations, support strategic decision-making, strengthen internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and build the financial systems necessary to sustain continued growth while maintaining operational excellence.

Matthew believes strong financial stewardship is a critical component of building organizations that create lasting impact. His leadership helps ensure YHA remains positioned to continue expanding services and delivering transformative care to youth and families for years to come.

Outside of his professional work, Matthew has been married for 27 years and is the proud father of six children and grandfather to one grandchild. He enjoys staying active through working out, pickleball, fly fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
