Matt Clark brings more than three decades of experience working in residential treatment and youth development, dedicating his career to helping young people build the skills, confidence, and support systems necessary to create successful futures. Throughout his career, Matt has developed a strong reputation as a leader who believes lasting change occurs when youth are provided not only quality treatment, but also meaningful opportunities to learn responsibility, develop life skills, and build confidence through real-world experiences.
Matt began his career in residential treatment in 1993, working at Benchmark Residential Treatment Center where he spent the next decade developing extensive experience supporting youth in structured therapeutic environments. In 2003, he transitioned into a leadership role as Facility Director at Eagle Academy, where he successfully led a high-performing team for more than 20 years. Throughout his tenure, Matt helped oversee the growth and long-term success of a program that positively impacted the lives of countless youth who successfully completed treatment and went on to build productive and successful futures.
Matt has always been passionate about creating opportunities for youth to develop practical life skills that extend beyond traditional treatment models. He strongly believes in teaching responsibility, work ethic, and independence by helping youth engage in meaningful hands-on experiences such as facility maintenance, yard work, project development, and skill-building opportunities that prepare them for success in the real world.
As Director of Program Development & Facility Operations at Youth Health Associates, Matt works closely with leadership teams, contractors, vendors, and facility staff to help optimize operational performance across all YHA programs. In his role, he oversees facility improvement projects, contractor partnerships, bid management, maintenance operations, and the development of structured skill-building opportunities that allow youth to gain practical experience, develop workplace readiness, and build confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully beyond treatment.
Matt is deeply committed to helping youth recognize their value and potential by creating opportunities that teach accountability, build independence, and prepare them for long-term success in life. His passion for mentorship and operational excellence continues to play an important role in strengthening YHA’s programs and expanding opportunities for the youth the organization serves.
Outside of work, Matt is a devoted husband and father who values time spent with his family. He enjoys traveling to support his children in their athletic pursuits, attending University of Utah football games, and spending time on the golf course whenever he has the opportunity.
