Clinical Director

Mace earned his master’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Mace has 14 years of experience working in the field of forensic psychotherapy. Mace specializes in forensic clinical intervention for moderate- to high-risk juvenile and adult clients involved in the justice system including sexual offense, substance use, and general antisocial behaviors. Mace is trained and holds certifications for the following:

  • Certified Trainer in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Sexual Offense.

  • Certified Trainer in Core Correctional Practices.

  • Certified Trainer in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders.

  • Motivational Interviewing Certification (Coach and Trainer).

  • Matrix Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse-Specific Treatment Certification.

  • Designated Examiner for State of Utah.

  • Key Supervisor for the Matrix Intensive Outpatient Drug/Alcohol program. Mace is Key Supervisor for the only fully certified Matrix IOP Program by the Matrix Program in the state of Utah.

Mace enjoys endurance racing, triathlons, and weightlifting. He was born and raised in Utah and has a strong affection for the majesty of the state’s five national parks, seven national monuments, and two national recreation areas. He spends his free time with his family in the Wasatch Mountains.
