John Garlock
Sr. Director of Admissions
John Garlock serves as Sr. Director of Admissions for Youth Health Associates (YHA) and brings nearly three decades of experience working with youth, families, and service providers. Since beginning his career in 1995, John has dedicated himself to helping young people access the support, treatment, and opportunities needed to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and has extensive experience working directly with youth across a variety of treatment settings.
John joined YHA in 2009 and has served in multiple roles throughout the organization, including Direct Care Staff, Lead Staff, and Facility Supervisor at both the YHA Stepping Stones and YHA Draper programs. His progression through frontline and leadership positions provided him with a comprehensive understanding of residential treatment operations and the needs of youth and families served by YHA.
In 2014, John joined the YHA administrative team and has since led admissions efforts across the organization. As Director of Admissions, he works closely with referral sources, case managers, probation officers, behavioral health professionals, and government agencies throughout the United States to coordinate placements and ensure youth are matched with services that best meet their individual needs.
John is recognized for his ability to build strong professional relationships and navigate complex placement decisions with compassion, responsiveness, and professionalism. His extensive knowledge of treatment programming, referral processes, and youth services allows him to serve as a trusted resource for agencies and families seeking quality care for the youth they support.
John is passionate about helping youth access opportunities for growth, healing, and long-term success. Through his leadership, YHA continues to strengthen partnerships nationwide and provide life-changing services to youth and families in need.
