Brian Garlock

Founder

Brian Garlock graduated with a Masters of Social Work, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He started Youth Health Associates in 2000 and has grown the program to six facilities serving youth from more than 20 states. YHA currently employs more than 150 staff serving youth ages 8 to 18 from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

Garlock created the YHA program following national guidelines and evidence-based modalities. He trained staff and therapists to provide trauma-informed care in an amendable environment. For more than twenty years he has conducted therapy groups, overseen clinical staffing, interacted with referral sources, presented at city councils, and provided suicidal ideation and prevention training.

He is also the founder/head chair of No More Victims, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health services for youth victims of sexual abuse.

Prior to his work at YHA and No More Victims, Garlock was a therapist at Benchmark Behavioral Hospital and a Utah state prison half-way house. He was also an instructor at University of Phoenix Graduate School.

Garlock enjoys spending time with his wife and kids exploring the great outdoors in Utah; hiking, fishing, snowboarding, golfing, etc.
